- Villa have kept-back-back clean sheets at home but their ability to keep United at bay relies heavily on the fitness of the likes of Vlaar and Luna at the back.
Juventus vs Sassuolo

- Juventus suffered a troubled elimination from the Champions League, with a controversial half-match played on an extremely bad pitch. The Bianconeri need to quickly forget all controversies and focus on the league in order to improve their points tally.
- After a good run of eight points from four matches, Sassuolo saw their unbeaten form come to an end against Chievo, where they failed to score for the first time in their last six matches.
- Despite the absence of Berardi, Sassuolo will field a couple of young players that are partly owned by Juventus and will want to shine in front of their potential future club. The hosts are favourites to take all three points from the fixture, but they need to avoid the disappointment for the European elimination to affect this match.
Atletico Madrid vs Valencia
Prediction
- Diego Simeone's men continue to march on. Midweek they closed out the group stages of the Champions League with a solid win over Porto. At present, their form in Europe is mirroring their form in La Liga where they continue to keep pace with leaders Barcelona.
- A couple of seasons ago a meeting between these two teams was very much the battle for who should be regarded as Spain's third-best team. Now however, with Valencia's struggles this season, Atletico are very much the favourites to come away with all 3 points. With next to no major absentees, Simeone has a near full squad to choose from.
- Miroslav Djukic has lessened the pressure on his shoulders and is unbeaten in his last 3 matches in all competitions, but off-field problems and rumours that the current board are looking to sell the club make for a less-than-ideal preparation for this weekend's clash.
Schalke 04 vs Freiburg
Prediction
- After the 2-1 defeat at Gladbach last weekend, Schalke sit seven points off 4th place. Manager Jens Keller seems to have no future at the club, despite having qualified for the round of 16 in the Champions League during the week.
- Freiburg have lost back-to-back games in the Bundesliga again and to need to improve in attack. It remains to be seen how tired the players will be after another Europa League tie ahead of the weekend.
- Expect Schalke to try to dominate from the outset and Freiburg to wait for chances on the break.
Bayer Leverkusen vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Prediction
- After a very good performance in their 1-0 win at Dortmund last weekend, Leverkusen are four points behind Bayern and want to at least solidify 2nd place in the table.
- Frankfurt have only picked up 11 points from 15 matches so far and need to focus on the Bundesliga now, despite qualifying for the next round of the Europa League. Manager Armin Veh is yet to find a consistent system yet.
- Expect Leverkusen to try to dominate the game from the outset.
